2024 NYSPHSAA States November 22-23
Maya Huntress ‘26 competed in the 50 free and 100 butterfly in the meet in Webster. She finished in 6th place in both events and earned 33.5 points for SHA, which was 30th out of 131 schools. In the prelims of the 50 free, Maya lowered her school record with a time of 23.78. She also set a new school record, which she held, in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.93. 
 
2024 CHSAA Intersectional Meet November 9 - 10
Four SHA Swim records fell at the meet held at the Nassau Aquatic Center in Long Island. Maya Huntress '26 was a double winner at the meet. She won the 50 free with a time of 23.79 and 100 butterfly in 57.32, both new school records. Maya will move on to the NYS Federation Meet in Webster on November 22 - 23. The 200 free relay team of Madelyn Loehfelm '28, Haley Loehfelm '26, Huntress and Isabella Ryan '26 set a school record with a time of 1:39.62. The fourth school record was set in the 400 free relay with Molly Fulco '25, M. Loehfelm, Huntress and Ryan finishing in 3:40. Also competing for SHA were Lauren Hart '26, Natalie Ryan ‘28and Katie Philips '28.  Sacred Heart finished in 4th place, which is one place higher than in 2023.
 
2024 All Catholic and League Champions!
The Sharks won their third straight All Catholic championship with a score of 173.5. Mount St. Mary placed second with 127 points. Sacred Heart also clinched its third consecutive league title by going undefeated this season. Maya Huntress '26, ranked 11th in the state by SwimCloud, won the Natalie Lewis Memorial Award as the event's top swimmer for the 2nd year in a row.  She won the 50 free with a score of 24.22, the 100 butterfly in 58.17 and was a member of two winning relays.
Other events won were the 200 medley (Huntress, Haley Loehfelm '26, Natalie Ryan '28 and Katie Philips '28 in 1:53.00), 200 free  (Isabella Ryan '26, 1:57.52), the 500 free (Madelyn Loehfelm '28, 5:09.98) and 400 free relay (M. Loehfelm, N, Loehfelm, Huntress and Lauren Hart '26, 1.41.14).
 
2023 CHSAA Intersectional Meet November 4 - 5
For the second year in a row the Sharks performed well at the Nassau Aquatic Center. Maya Huntress '26 won the 50 free with a new meet record of 24.05.  She moves on to the NYS Federation Meet on November 17 - 18 in Webster. Joining her at that meet will be Gabby Adamczyk '24 who won the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.59.  Huntress was 2nd in the 100 free with a Federation qualifying time of 52.24. The 200 medley relay with Huntress, Maya Hartman '25, Adamczyk and Isabella Ryan '26 came in 2nd. The 200 free relay, Lauren Hart '26, Adamczyk, Ryan and Huntress also came in 2nd. Also competing for SHA were Molly Fulco '25 and Hannah Ferullo '26. Sacred Heart finished in 5th place at the meet.
 
2023 All Catholic Champs and League Co-Champs!
In a very close meet, Sacred Heart repeated as All Catholic Swim Champions by 2 points over Mt. St. Mary. Maya Huntress ‘26 set 2 All Catholic records and won the Natalie Lewis Memorial Award as the event's outstanding swimmer.  Her time in the 100 free lowered the school record held by her from last season. Maya also anchored the 400 yard freestyle relay which Sacred Heart won to clinch the title. Gabby Adamczyk ‘24 took gold in the 100 butterfly and set a new school record. The 200 medley relay with Huntress, Maya Hartman ‘25, Adamczyk and Lauren Hart ‘26 won gold along with the 400 free relay with Isabella Ryan ‘26, Molly Fulco ‘25, Adamczyk and Huntress, also a new school record.. The team finished the season with a 5 -1 league meet record and was named co-champions. Congratulations Sharks! 
 
2022 CHSAA Intersectional Meet November 5 - 6
At the Nassau Aquatic Center our Sharks performed well.  Maya Huntress '26 tied for first in the 50 free with a new school record of 24.34.  She will compete at the NYS Federation Meet on November 18 - 19 in Webster.  She came in 3rd in the 100 free with a new school record of 53.44. Gabby Adamczyk '24 was 3rd in the 100 fly and 4th in the 50 free.  The relay team of Huntress, Adamczyk, Isabella Ryan '26 and Molly Fulco '25 came in 3rd in the 200 free and 4th in the 400 free relays.
 
2022 Season League and All Catholic Champs!
Swim capped off a terrific turnaround this season by winning both the league and All Catholics.  This was the first championship since 2018. At the ACs, the Sharks took 1st place in six of the eleven events and had two 2nd place finishes.  Double winners included Isabella Ryan '26 in the 200 and 500 free and Gabby Adamczyk '24 in the 50 free and 100 fly. Maya Huntress '25 won the 100 free and the 400 free relay team of Ryan, Adamczyk, Huntress and Molly Fulco also finished first.
 
2021 All Catholics
Swim wrapped up their season  at the All Catholic Meet at the ECC City Flickinger Pool on October 26, 2021. Gabby Adamczyk '24 was a double winner for the Sharks taking gold in the 100 and 200 freestyle events.  Anna Bartlo '22 came in 3rd in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 medley and 200 free teams of Molly Fulco '25, Bartlo, Adamczyk and Fina Bell '22 also came in 3rd.
 
Fall 2 - 2021 season
In absence of an All Catholic meet, medals were awarded to the top three finishers from the regular season meets. SHA's 200 medley relay team of Fina Bell '22, Amelia Wands '24, Gabby Adamczyk '24 and Lauren Devin '21 earned bronze along with Adamczyk in the 100 butterfly.
 
2019 All Catholics
The Sharks came in 4th at the 2019 ACs.  The championship was won by the combined team of Buffalo Seminary/Nichols.  Medals were won by Fina Bell '22 who came in 2nd in the 50 free and the 400 free relay team of Emma Higgins '20, Julia Fulfaro '21, Maddie Kamens '21 and Lauren Devin '21 came in 3rd.
