We look forward to seeing your daughter on Saturday, November 22 for the Catholic High School Entrance Exam! If you haven't already done so, please register for the exam by submitting the Catholic High School Application can be found here.
Students should arrive at Sacred Heart between 8:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Please park in either the Clare Hall lot (at the corner of Main St. & Maynard Dr), the back lot (enter the driveway via Main St. and follow around to the back of the building) or in front of the school. Use the side entrance (door#10) or the front doors. Look for student volunteers to direct you inside!
The exam lasts approximately three hours and 15 minutes so your daughter will be ready for pick up approximately three hours and 15 minutes from her drop off time. Dismissal will be at the side entrance closest to Main St & Maynard Dr. (door #10).
Calculators are allowed for the exam. The type, functionality or brand does not matter. All she really needs is a simple, four-function one. We will have extras in case she forgets one. Cell phones and Apple watches must be turned off. We will supply pencils. She may bring a water bottle.
The cost for the Entrance Exam is $25.00 which is to be pre-paid through the Parent Portal. We will also accept cash or a check the morning of the exam (made payable to Sacred Heart Academy). A reminder, if your daughter took the Prep Course at Sacred Heart in the summer or fall, her exam fee will be waived.
Please join us in the cafeteria for a Parent Coffee immediately after you drop off your daughter on the morning of the exam. Grab a cup of coffee and meet current and other prospective parents as well as Jennifer Demert, Head of School and Michele Calandra, Director of Academics.
If your daughter is unable to take the exam on November 22 due to illness or an unavoidable conflict, the alternate test date is Friday, December 5 at 9:00 a.m. I will follow-up with more information for all families who are not at the 11/22 exam.
Your daughter only needs to bring a calculator. The type of calculator does not matter and we will have extras available in case she forgets one. Students may not use the calculator on their cellphones.
The best preparation for the test is a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast!
