Throughout the year, Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart offers clinics, workshops and other events for middle school girls as well as a five-week summer camp program, Summerspace.
 
Full and half day camps for girls entering grades 5-9 in Fall 2026.  
 
Practice Entrance Exam for 7th grade girls

Cost:  FREE
This is a great opportunity to become familiar with the format of the Catholic High School Entrance Exam which will be offered to 8th graders in November 2026.  Girls will take all five sections in a test environment and receive detailed written results.  Pre-registration required. REGISTER HERE.

Introduction to Improvisation

Learn about the different skills and techniques that go into the art of Improvisation. Be involved in games and activities that build acting skills, help you think on your feet and improve your public speaking and confidence. Perfect for anyone who is interested in theatre and acting. No experience necessary.
 
Introduction to Musical Theater 
Saturday, April 25
1 pm - 3 pm
Learn about the four elements of musical theatre:  movement on stage, acting, singing and dancing during this introduction to musical theatre.  For the budding actress, no experience necessary.
 

Mother/Daughter Retreat-SOLD OUT

For 6th/7th/8th grade girls and mothers (or other special female in their lives)

Join Us for a Special Afternoon of Spiritual Growth & Connection with your Daughter

We’ve designed this meaningful afternoon as a time for you to reflect on and deepen your relationship with God and your daughter through intentional conversation, prayer, hands-on activities, and group interaction.

Led by Andrea Waclawek Collins '12, Chaplain at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to step away from the distractions of everyday life and connect to God, yourself, and your child.

Together, you’ll build lasting memories, strengthen your bond, and continue laying a strong spiritual foundation for your daughter—while also being encouraged and refreshed in your own faith journey. Please note this retreat is rooted in Sacred Heart's Catholic, Franciscan tradition but we welcome families of all spiritual backgrounnd.

 

Mother-Daughter Book Club for Girls in 5th/6th Grade - Free

Selected Book:  From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg
Spend time with your daughter in a meaningful way... reading together!  This book club for moms and their daughters in 5th and 6th grade will meet four times during the school year (future dates TBA).  Participants will read an age-appropriate book, engage in discussion and an activity, all led by moderator and Reading Specialist Kirsten Burke Smith '96.  This is a great opportunity to bond with your daughter in a fun way.  Cost:  FREE (space is limited)  Participants will be responsible for the selected book.  REGISTER HERE
 
 
Father/Daughter Bonding Day - A Workshop for dads (or other important male) and daughters in Grades 4-7 POSTPONED TO SPRING 2027
 
Father/Daughter Bonding Day is an opportunity to spend an afternoon interacting with your daughter in a meaningful and positive way while engaging in a variety of fun sessions. The event will feature workshops in communication, hands-on activities and goal setting. Join us! 
 
As a parent, you want the best for your children so they have happy, healthy lives. By letting your daughter know she's valued and loved, you can establish a positive precedent for her subsequent male relationships, and one of the best ways to do that is by spending time with her.
