SHA Students Abroad

This summer, SHA students traveled to new places, learned about different cultures, and saw amazing sights through trips to New Zealand and Australia, Zambia and the Dominican Republic.

In Zambia SHA girls immersed themselves in the culture while bonding with teenage Zambian girls as well as local children, enjoyed the thrill of Victoria Falls and even went on a safari.  Students who traveled to New Zealand and Australia learned about Aboriginal culture, explored Fjordland National Park, hiked the rain forest canopy and snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef. Closer to home, girls who volunteered for ten days in the Dominican Republic experienced a homestay with a local family, worked in a village parish, and enjoyed a beautiful day at a Caribbean beach.
