Tryouts for Mock Trial will be held Monday, December 12 starting at 5:30pm. Attached is the case summary from last year, and the witness affidavit of Sheridan Homes. In Mock Trial, each witness writes an affidavit to relay their story of what happened in a case. For the tryout please read both the case summary and the affidavit. You will be asked to answer questions as Sheridan for the tryout, which means knowing as much about Sheridan as possible. If you are interested in joining the team, please prepare with these materials and present to Room 405 on Monday, December 12. Please see the attached case summary. 3. Mr. Madill and Dr. Krull would like to announce the Girl Power Friday album of the week, Etta James’ 1960 album At Last! Etta James had a string of hits for Chess Records in the 1960s. Her “deep and earthy voice bridged the gap between rhythm and blues and rock and roll.” She was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Rolling Stone magazine ranks her at #22 on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. In the 2008 movie Cadillac Records, Beyonce starred as Etta James. Attached is a clip of her singing I’d Rather Go Blind in the movie.

5. The Music Department will be initiating a Food Drive next week in cooperation with FeedMore WNY. In lieu of selling tickets for the upcoming Winter Concert (Tuesday, December 13th), we kindly ask that you make a donation of food as your admission to the performances. Barrels will be located at the entrance of the auditorium. One barrel will be designated for each class. Classes will earn spirit points each day next week;
Tuesday- Freshwomen,
Wednesday - Sophomores,
Thursday - Juniors,
Friday - Seniors.
