Four Seniors Honored as All WNY Scholar Athletes

Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart is proud to announce that four seniors have been named All-WNY Scholar Athlete for the Spring 2019 season by Section VI of the NYSPHSAA. To be eligible, students must be seniors, maintain an overall grade point average of 90 or above for six semesters, and start or serve as an important reserve for their respective team.



Abigail Halsdorfer, Class of 2019 Salutatorian, ran track for two years.  She is also a competitive swimmer and holds the school record in the 500 free and will swim at Case Western University.


Claire Hejaily a distance runner on the Track team was also a winner in the Fall for Cross Country. She is Sacred Heart’s only multiple winner.


Fiona Murphy, Class of 2019 Valedictorian,  played first doubles for the tennis team and came in 2nd place at this year’s All Catholic Match.


Athena Zak, a three-year starter on the softball team, has signed to continue her athletic career at St. Thomas Aquinas College.
