Description
The Director of Academics reports to the Head of School, is a member of the school’s Administrative Council and leadership team, and is an educational and moral role model to our students and faculty.
Requirements
Requirements for the position include:
Certification in school administration and/or a master’s degree in an educational field
Experience in supervision of new and experienced faculty members
Thorough knowledge of NYS standards and requirements for secondary school education
Proficiency in curriculum development and professional development planning and implementation
Understanding of current trends and best practices in education
Experience teaching at the secondary level
Exhibit a collaborative, creative, and energetic work style
