2024 Catholic States
On March 2, Sarah Webb '25, Katie Cogdill '25 and Bella Snyder '25 competed in the Catholic States at Babylon Lanes on Long Island. Sarah was seeded at #11, Katie at #19 and Bella at #20. After the 5 game first round, Bella finished in 12th place, Katie in 11th and Sarah in 5th, which qualified her for the stepladder finals.  After losing to the 4th seed, Sarah finished as the 4th runner up in the State. For the tournament, she averaged 171 with a high game of 208.
 
2024 All Catholics
Our varsity bowling team came in 2nd to Mt. St. Mary in the league this season. At the All Catholic Tournament they came in first by 216 pins over the Mount for their third AC Championship in a row. Then, after the team competition, the top 5 finishers competed in a ladder tournament. #5 bowled #4, the winner bowled #3 and so on. 
 
Three Sharks competed for the individual championship. Sarah Webb '25 was seeded #5, Katie Cogdill '25 #4 and Bella Snyder '25 #1. There were two girls from the Mount seeded #3 and #2. Sarah beat Katie. Then she beat the two Mount bowlers and faced Bella in the finals. It was her 9th game of the day and she won! 
 
There is more great bowling news!  Four Sharks earned All Catholic honors. Sarah received the awards for highest average 145.89 and highest series 499.  Katie Cogdill '25 was recognized for the highest game 213.  Joining them on the All Catholic Team were Bella Snyder '25 and Elena Sclafani '25.  Great season ladies! 
 
2023 All Catholics
Sacred Heart came back from a 93 pin deficit to repeat as the All Catholic Monsignor Martin Girl’s Bowling Champion. The Sharks started slowly in the first five girl match but the 2022/23  League Champs fought back and refused to give up won by 156 pins.. Led by Captain and four-year starter Lily Panepinto, the team averaged over 163 in each of the six Baker style games. Named to First Team All Catholic were Lily Panepinto '23 and Katie Cogdill '25.  Sarah Webb '25 and Elena Sclafani '25 were named to the Second Team.  Also competing on varsity was Bella Snyder '25.
 
 Sharks repeated as league champs by finishing with a 54.5 win 5.5 loss record.
 
2022 All Catholics
Sharks won the league with 55 wins and 9 losses and then went on to win the All Catholics!  The Sharks started the 6-game Baker set down 76 pins to Mt. St. Mary. It took all 6 games to erase that deficit and win by 22 pins!  Lily Panepinto '23 earned MVP of the All Catholics and First Team honors.  Anna Donner '22 was also named First Team. Ava Scalfani '22, Alexis Fielding '22 and Olivia Ehimare '22 were named to the Second Team. Fielding was recognized for having the high league game with a 191. Congratulations to the team and to Coach Frank. 
 
2021 All Catholics
Congratulations to Lily Panepinto '23 for earning First Team All Catholic honors and to Anna Donner '22 Second Team.
 
2020 All Catholics
At the 2020 All Catholics the Sharks came in 2nd behind Cardinal O'Hara.  Lily Panepinto '23 and Kat Krajewski '20 were named to the All Catholic 2nd Team.
