2023 Season and All Catholics
After coming in 2nd in the league, the Sharks finished 2nd at the All Catholic Meet at Como Park on November 2. In the varsity race, Grace Caterina '24 came in 4th and earned All Catholic Honors.  Two JV runners were recognized for being a top 7 finisher.  Shelby Paner '25 finished 2nd and Amina Malik '26 was 7th.  Caterina and Amelia Anderson '25 qualified to compete at the Federation Meet in Dutchess County on November 18.
 
It's a Three-peat for the Sharks!
The SHA Cross Country team made it three in a row by winning the 2022 All Catholic Meet held at Como Park on November 3.  Three Sharks finished in the top 7 and earned First Team Honors. Clare Daniels '25 was SHA's top finisher in 3rd (21:36.18). Grace Caterina '24 was right behind her in 4th place and Barbara Kunz '23 finished in 6th. Named to the Second Team were; Shelby Paner '25 8th, Annie Mercure '23 11th and Catherine Pivarunas '23 13th. The varsity runners, including Amelia Anderson '25, all move on to compete at the Federation Meet in Dutchess County on November 19.
The JV runners dominated their race by placing 9 in the top 14 spots including Rose Genco '23 who won the race.
 
Fall 2022 League Champions
The Sharks repeated as league champions by winning every dual meet this season.
 
Sharks repeat at the 2021 All Catholics!
The runners from SHA ran another brilliant race and defended their title from last year. Isabella Rajecki '22 came in 5th (21:53.42) and earned First Team Honors.  Four Sharks made Second Team; Grace Caterina '24 7th, Lainie Smith '22 9th, Mercedes Wehr '23 10th, Veronica Bohan '25 11th.  Also competing were Barbara Kunz '23 18th and Catherine Pivarunas '23 20th.  After no JV race last year, the JV dominated their race this year by sweeping the top six finishes!  The JV champion was Annie Mercure '23 with a 23:36.74.  Other top finishers were; Clare Daniels '25 2nd, Emma Beecher '22 3rd, Allie Connolly '25 4th, Morgan Giancaterino '22 5th and Ally Garbarino '25 6th.
 
Fall 2021 League Champions!
For the first time in 33 years, the Sharks won the MMHSAA XC League with a 7 - 0 record.  They defeated Nardin 27 - 28 in the last meet of the season to capture the title, the first since 1988.
 
Sharks Win Their First All Catholic Championship since 2006!
A varsity only All Catholic Championship with 6 runners from each team was held on November 1, 2020 at Como Park.  SHA had finished league play in second place and the championships were expected to be a close race between SHA, Nardin and Nichols.  The SHA runners ran an excellent race and won the championship by 2 points!  The final score was SHA 49, Nardin 51 and Nichols 54.  Isabella Rajecki '21 came in 7th (22:10) and earned All Catholic First Team.  Earning All Catholic Second Team was Lainie Smith '22 8th (22:22), Brigid Christ '21 9th place (22:24), Barbara Kunz '23 11th place (22:49) and Catherine Pivarunas '22 14th place (23:09). Mercedes Wehr 17th place (23:15) also competed.
 
All Catholics 2019
At the 2019 All Catholic Championships at Knox Farm State Park on November 3, 2019 both Varsity and JV finished in 2nd place. The team finished league meets in 3rd place.  Brigid Christ '21 came in 5th in the Varsity race (21:50) and earned All Catholic First Team and qualified to compete at the State Federation Meet on November 23 in Wappinger Falls.  Isabella Rajecki '22 came in 7th (22:36) and also earned First Team honors.  Earning All Catholic Second Team was Lainie Smith '22 10th place (22:54), Morgan Giancaterino '22 12th place (23:03) and Paige McGorry '23 14th place (23:09).
 
Catherine Pivarunas '23 finished in first place in the JV race. Also finishing in the top seven was Rose Genco '23.  It was a great meet for the Sharks!
