A member of the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association, Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart offers 14 sports at the junior varsity and varsity levels as well as two club sports, and has a long history of championship teams at both the league and state levels.

The Athletics program at Sacred Heart Academy serves as an integral part of the total educational experience. Our student-athletes learn respect for themselves and others, leadership, discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship. It is the goal of the athletics program that life-long lessons will remain with the student-athlete long after she graduates and that life-long friendships will be developed and nurtured.

Unique to SHA, the sisterhood that develops among girls who play on our athletic teams is further cultivated through Sharks in Service. Sharks in Service gives each team the opportunity to identify an organization and plan a project for the populations it serves. Past projects including playing lacrosse with local veterans and volleyball clinics for area elementary school girls. These projects give the girls a bonding activity “off the field,” while exercising their leadership skills.
