SHA Connections
Sacred Heart Academy is chartered by the Board
of Regents of the State of New York and is accredited by the
Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Franciscan
heritage and tradition continue through the leadership of
the ten Franciscan Sisters on staff and the vibrant school
community they inspire.
SHA draws students from twenty area school districts and
the nearby province of Ontario, Canada. Students are enriched
by the presence of foreign exchange students, young women
of many faith traditions, and the diverse gifts and talents
of the school community.
The student body is supported by a talented professional
staff of 72 men and women including 47 teachers, 2 campus
ministers, administrators, and support staff. School administrators
are supported by a strong network of effective partnerships,
established to enhance all areas of school life, and offering
all "stake-holders" an opportunity to share in the
mission and vision of the school. Such partnerships include:
Academic Council, Alumnae Association, Board of Directors,
Parents' Guild, School Planning Team, and the Student Council.
Additionally, Sacred Heart Academy has established valued
partnerships with several local businesses and non-profit
organizations that routinely provide our students with hands-on
educational and leadership experiences.
