Welcome to Sacred Heart Academy! We hope that you will get involved in the life of your daughter’s school. No matter what your time or talent, we welcome you to be a part of the Parents Guild at SHA. Guild involvement is an excellent way to meet other parents, stay informed about “SHA happenings” and get to know the parents of your daughter’s friends.
The Parents Guild of SHA operates through an advisory system. The Advisory Committee is comprised of at least two parent/guardian representatives for each class(freshwoman, sophomore, junior, and senior). These representatives meet with the Head of School approximately six times a year to plan and organize events to support the SHA community.
The representatives enlist the assistance of volunteers at their daughter’s grade level to help support and run the events (see link below for a list of annual events). With this new structure we will have a way of reaching parents from each class and the work (and fun) of organizing events will be distributed more equally among all our parents.
The Amended Constitution and By Laws of the Parent Guild are linked below. The amendments reflect this new leadership structure outlined above and was endorsed by all of the Parent Guild Officers during the 2008-09 school year.
