Sarah Pawlak: Channel 7's Athlete of the Week, 2010 Girls All-Bee First Team, 2010 All -WNY Second Team
Junior Sarah Pawlak was the top gun on SHA's Varsity Basketball team this past season leading the team in scoring. She helped the Lady Sharks win the Monsignor Martin Association Championship over Nichols and was named co-MVP of the North Division in a post game ceremony. It is not surprising that Sarah was recently recognized by Channel 7 News as well as both the Amherst Bee and the Buffalo News as one of the premier basketball players in Western New York.

Channel 7 (WKBW) tapped Sarah as their #1 Athlete of the Week in their High School Super 7 feature posted on March 19th. Click here to watch the video.
The Amherst Bee announced their 2010 Girls All-Bee Basketball Team on March 31st. Sarah made the First Team being singled out by the Bee as being the best player for the Lady Sharks. She averaged 18.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals during the regular season with 13 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.5 steals during the postseason. Sarah's 461 total points scored for this past season ranks her #2 in MMA history. Teammates and sisters Christina and Katie Healy made the All-Bee Honorable Mention list.
The Buffalo News published their 2010 All-WNY Girls Basketball listing on April 10th. Once again Sarah was recognized for her amazing talent on the court by being selected to the Second Team. As a junior, Sarah will likely make First Team next season if her strong playing statistics continue. SHA Junior Christina Healy earned Honorable Mention honors.
