Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart is One of Top 3 High Schools in Western New York
Business First has ranked Sacred Heart Academy the #3 school overall (out of 133 public and private schools) in their annual Guide to Western New York Schools, 2010-11.
SHA is one of only seven schools to be in the top 10% of high schools in at least three subject areas: Math (ranked #1), English/Foreign Language (ranked #2), and Social Studies (ranked #4). In addition, SHA’s Advanced Designation Diplomas rate (87%) places us in the top 2% of schools in Western New York.
The Business First rankings consider four years of data, provided by the New York State Education Department. A rating is determined by the percentage of students who receive Regents diplomas, with special emphasis on diplomas with advanced designations, and scores on Foreign Language, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies Regents exams.
Jennifer Demert, Head of School, commented, "Sacred Heart is thrilled that the hard work of our faculty and students has resulted in such exceptional results. We are particularly pleased that SHA is helping to debunk the myth that girls don't do well in math. Our girls out-performed all other Western New York schools on the math Regents examinations and are ranked #1 in math. Girls can do anything they set their mind to, especially when the instruction is customized to their learning."
