Three SHA Seniors Sign Letter of Intent with Colleges

On Tuesday, November 16, three Sacred Heart Academy seniors, top athletes in Western New York who have excelled both on and off the court, signed their letter of intent to play college athletics.  Channel 2 News was on the scene and videotaped the event.

Emily Litwin -- Signing with the University of Binghamton for Volleyball

• 2009 PVA Invitational All-Tournament Team (Villanova)
• 2008 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics All Tournament Team
• 2008 , 2009 First Team All-Catholic
• 2008 Second Team All Western New York

Sarah Pawlak -- Signing with Holy Family, Philadelphia, PA for Basketball

• Academics:     GPA 3.85    Member of the National Honor Society
• Athletics:     Plays Basketball and Volleyball at SHA
• 2nd Team All-Catholic – Volleyball

Basketball Honors and Stats:

• 2010      Named Co-Player of the Year – Monsignor Martin League
• 2010      2nd Team All–Western New York
• 3rd Highest Single-Season Scorer All-Time in Monsignor Martin History
• Stats:  18.3 average points per game with 9.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals
• All-Star Team (17U) - USJN Nationals, Washington D.C.

Caitlyn Colucci -- Signing with Gannon University for Softball  

• Academics:     GPA 3.72  Member of the National Honor Society
• Athletics:  3 sport athlete: softball, volleyball, and basketball     
• Batting average .412
• 2010 Summer Team (New Era Diamond Girls) ASA 16U National Championship Runner-up
• 2009 Summer Team (New Era Diamond Girls) NSA 16U NY State Champions & PONY National Qualifier Champions
• 2008-2009 Summer Team (New Era Diamond Girls Gold) NSA 14U NY State Champions
