Scholarships recognize overall scholastic achievement, demonstration of academic potential, proficiency in a particular area of study, financial need, or any other combination of these factors. All scholarships, with the exception of the SHA Scholar Award, are renewable annually provide the student is in good academic standing and demonstrates commendable conduct.  Any of the scholarships below may be supplemented with financial aid to meet a student’s need.

Scholarships and financial aid are available only to girls
who chose SHA as their first choice high school.

The following scholarships totaling more than $235,000 are available for students entering Sacred Heart Academy in September, 2016:

  • Alumnae Scholarship
    (for a daughter, granddaughter or sister of an alumna)
  • Alumnae Scholarship in Memory of Alice Morlock Barth, ’31
    (for a daughter, granddaughter or sister of an alumna)
  • Faculty/Staff Scholarship
  • Joanne Fleischauer Scholarship
    (for a student matriculating from Christ the King or St. Joseph University Schools)
  • Head of School Scholarship
  • Jerome H. Kirchmyer Scholarship
  • Mother Magdalen Damen Scholarship
    (for a student with one or more parents employed in Catholic education)
  • Parent Guild Scholarship
  • Oishei Foundation Scholarship*
    (for an economically disadvantaged minority student)
    *Funded by the Oishei Foundation and awarded in March.  Requires a separate application and financial aid form.

  • Scholarship in Memory of Gerard R. & Mary Louise Schumacher
  • Scholarship in Memory of Kimberly Drzewiecki Vincent ’84

  • Sisters of St. Francis Scholarship
  • St. Clare Scholarship                                                                                         (given to students who score 90% or higher on the Catholic High School Entrance Exam)

  • Walton Family Scholarship
    (for a student matriculating from Christ the King School)
