Incoming Freshwomen

Step 1

Attend Open House to tour the school, meet students, faculty and staff, and see what Sacred Heart Academy has to offer you.  Open Houses are Thursday, September 29 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Sunday, October 2 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  If you missed Open House, please call the Admissions Office at
834-2101 ext 311 to schedule a campus visit.

 

Step 2

Arrange a Shadow Day to see SHA in action on a typical Academy day.  You will be paired with a ninth grader (either someone you request or who shares similar interests with you) and attend her classes, go to lunch, and meet her teachers and friends.  If you cannot shadow during this period, the Admissions Office will work with you to schedule a mutually convenient day.

Step 3

Apply to SHA by requesting the Catholic High School Application for Admission in Fall 2011 from your school or through the SHA Admissions Office.  Complete the application and submit it to your school by Friday, October 21.  Students who select SHA as their first choice will receive a confirmation letter along with scholarship and financial aid information.

Step 4

Take the Catholic High School Entrance Examination at SHA on Saturday, November 19, 2011.  Apply for scholarships and financial aid by December 1, 2011.

Step 5

Notice of Acceptance, Scholarships & Financial Aid will be mailed to the Class of 2016 on January 19, 2012. 

Step 6

Mail your deposit and enrollment forms to SHA by January 31, 2012 to confirm your spot as a member of the Class of 2016.

Step 7

Register as a member of the Class of 2016 on February 7, 2012.

What do we consider for acceptance into SHA?

Our overall goal is to have each student be successful at SHA. In order to achieve that, we consider the following for admission:

  • Scores from the Catholic High School Entrance Exam
  • Elementary school grades from 6, 7 and 8 (1st quarter)
  • Past standardized testing
  • Recommendation (as completed on the application)
