Diploma Requirements

Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation

To receive a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, a student must pass the following Regents examinations with a score of 65 or higher.  Required Regents examinations are:

• English
• Math A or Algebra
• Math B or Algebra/Trigonometry*
• Global History and Geography
• United States History and Government
• Two Science examinations – One examination in The Living Environment and one examination in Chemistry, Earth Science or Physics

*For students entering SHA after 2008, Geometry is also required.

To receive a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors, a student must achieve an average of 90% in all examinations that are required for a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation.

Regents Diploma
